Another option to consider in starting your own room is to creating a group room. This option is available for those who create a Yahoo Group. Group rooms can be created by anyone with a Yahoo profile.

Just go to www.yahoo.com and select the groups option. I could give a step by step tutorial, but if Yahoo's site can't give you what you want to know, as far as starting a Yahoo group with the Chat option. Maybe someone else should start your room.

Basically just select the chat option when customizing your group preferences.

Don't know how long this will last but currently no bots in these rooms!!

Tech Talk: Generally Bots use the YCHT protocol, but the /join command doesn't work well for YCHAT entering the group rooms. This poses problems for bots!

Here is the low down on the group rooms

1. Once the last person leaves, ONLY a member of the group can restart the room.

2. Yahoo messenger has no problems entering these rooms, Yahelite and Yaheh can only seem to do it in Ymsg mode, I've been told it can be done in Yzak, but I had the same issues with Ycht mode when I tried.

3. User rooms are joined by typing /join *g.grouproomname:1

Anyone Can Join a Group Room!

apparently all group rooms " *g. " prefix. Yes that is an asterix,

the prefix is followed by the group name "cuckgroup"

then a ":1" suffix

NOTE: DO NOT PUT A SPACE IN FRONT OF THE SLASH!!!
