With the invisible chat problem, my wife and I have had enough.  I'll keep working with Yahlist at least till October.  If Yahoo starts to reverse some of the issues, and we start so see improvements.  especially with the "eating chat issue".  I will probably return to using Yahoo.

Like I said when the user rooms first shutdown I tried the free version of Paltalk.  It  was unacceptable.  The free version was too ad filled  The rooms were very restrictive.  There seemed to be no body on Pal Talk compared to Yahoo. Finally the cam option for free users stunk.  The cams stayed on only long enough to tease. 

Guess what? Its not much different at PalTalk now.  BUT, Yahoo has gotten very much worse.  Now every room is bot filled to the rim.  There are no user rooms..well we have them now, who knows how long it will last.  But we got the group rooms, right?  Well, the final straw is that Ymsg protocol eats your text.  What freaking good is a chat room if you cant CHAT.

With that in mind we left Yahoo.  Signed up for an extreme service at PalTalk.  Our weekend couples cam sessions have gone much better since.

Paltalk has three different versions.  The main difference between the different level is the camera viewing.  Basically when you turn a camera on in a PalTalk chat room you broadcast in FULL motion, depending what service you have paind for with PalTalk determines how you get to view a webcam in PalTalk

Free PalTalk - This isn't the Free trial that you sign up for when you use the banners on this site.  The free trial on the banners gives you the PalTalk extreme service, which is everything!  THE FREE PALTALK you get when you go to www.paltalk.com lets you chat in the rooms, but you only get 15 second teasers when you view cams.   That's right you can chat all day long, display webcam, but you can only view folks for 15 seconds or so at a time.  Its not really a long term option but a free way to check things out.

PalTalk Plus - This is the entry level Paltalk.  It allows you to view up to 6 cams at a time at a frame rate a little better than Yahoo's frame rate.

PalTalk Extreme - View unlimited cameras at full motion frame rate, This is pricey but shocking to a Yahoo veteran, because all the cams are open and in full motion, no more begging for a cam.  When you pay for the bandwidth PalTalk doesn't mind giving it to you.

PalTalk Review

Cons:

1.  Doesn't hold a candle to Yahoo user rooms in the golden age, but what does that matter.  That shit is gone, get over it!

2.  PalTalk is restrictive.  Paltalk restricts what type of rooms can be created, they even review every stinking profile picture.  They go so far as to reject couples pics in "couples" profiles, because they "demand" one individual, the profile owner, be the only one in the picture? 

Let me reiterate they are very restrictive on profile pics, basically a "cosmo" pose won't be allowed.  Another, very annoying thing is young attractive people are allowed to allot more leeway in poses in pictures, where as anyone over 30 gets there picture rejected in the same freaking pose with the same clothing on. 

3.  PalTalk doesn't have nearly as many rooms and nearly as many people as user rooms used to have.  But, "used to" is the operative word, Yahoo used to have functional user rooms, now they don't.

4.  PalTalk costs money! Yep,  tightwads, and broke people.  If you want to play you gotta pay.  The day of the free internet is over.  Everything that used to be fun, and free, on the internet, now cost money. 

Pros:

1.  PalTalk is restrictive.  Huh! I thought u said it was a Con., Yes I did.  It also prevents government grandstanders from coming after PalTalk.  It keeps perverts, and Punks out.  The rooms are moderated so the discussions are very civil.  Even the girls don't fight for attention in the same room. Note: Paltalk's only real room creation rules are NO KIDS, and NO ANIMALS.

2.  Paltalk has MORE functioning rooms that Yahoo does.  I know the old Yahoo days were better, THAT'S HISTORY.  There are hundreds of real rooms with real people in them. 

3.  You can still create user rooms in PalTalk, and you can boot people when you are the creator.  You don't have to tolerate thugs, punks, and drama queens.

4.  NO BOTS need I say more

5.  All the cams are Open.  No squabbling over who gets to fill the 30 slots, everyone in a room can view any cam.  You don't know who is viewing your cam and you can't stop someone from viewing your cam.  This stops the room queens from lording over the room.  I think this is a great way to lower the room drama.

6.  You can be in several rooms at once and view cams in every room you are in!

7.  There are pretty girls on cam on PalTalk .  I'm not going to say every girl is a goddess in PalTalk. But, there are certainly allot more of them, and the ones I do see I find MUCH more attractive.  When you do see them you don't have to beg them to view the cam, because they are open.

8.  PalTalk costs Money! Yep as much as it keeps traffic out, it helps keep riff raff out.  Pay memberships make it impossible to make bots work!  Pay memberships prevent punks from amassing profiles to pester those who ignore.  A person can't afford to attempt to pester a girl with 30 profiles non stop.  Booting isn't a possibility when you have to pay for memberships.

I'm asking you to seriously consider using PalTalk and join my wife and I, still having fun on cam in chat rooms!
